Katie Slaton’s Tragic Diagnosis
The Slatons are a close family, so news that Tammy’s cousin, Katie Slaton, had stage four cancer shook Tammy and the Slatons deeply. Tammy took to Instagram to promote a GoFundMe for Katie. “Y’all I’m so sorry to be asking a big favor like this but if anyone can help even if it’s a dollar would help my cousin out so much,” Tammy wrote. She went on to add that Katie was a part of 1000-Lb Sisters. “Anything and everything is greatly appreciated.”

The Slatons are animal lovers who have always been surrounded by pets. Amanda recently posted a sad Instagram announcement about the death of her mother’s dog, Baby Girl. “My mom’s beloved Baby Girl passed away the other day,” wrote Amanda. “She has given My mom so much joy and companionship over the last 20 years. That’s not a typo. 20 years baby Girl has been with my momma.” The 1000-lb Sisters star went on to ask for prayers.
