Her healthcare team felt concerned about her cardiac health and were trying to find the root of Amanda’s ongoing health struggles.
However, things took a turn for the worse this week. After a short absence, the reality star informed fans that she blacked out and was hospitalized. After a brief stay in the hospital, Amanda returned home for continued rest and recovery.
In the days following her release from the hospital, Amanda is sharing more about the frightening experience. To many, it’s clear that her romantic partner played a pivotal role in saving her life.
Amanda Halterman Suffered A Serious Medical Emergency This Week
Yesterday, 1000-Lb Sisters star Amanda Halterman confirmed on Instagram that she was home from the hospital. She opened up about the frightening medical emergency, which seemingly happened out of nowhere.
“So Sunday afternoon I had my kids, it was about 5 or 6 o’clock. I had my kiddos over, three of them. I ordered pizza and was trying to clean up and I just blacked out,” Amanda explained, adding that her boyfriend and children acted quickly and got her to the hospital.

Now that Amanda is recovering at home, she’s opening up more about the situation. Today, she uploaded some selfies from the day of the incident.
“The first picture I was very disoriented and confused. The second pic was about 4 hours later the others was the next morning. #1000lbsisters #healthjourney #weightlossjourney @leonardemoore,” Amanda captioned her new Instagram post.
In the first shot, she appears visibly dazed and unwell. But after prompt medical care, she dramatically transforms back into her typical self before fans’ eyes. Everyone could clearly see she certainly needed hospitalization. Quick treatment very well might have saved her life.
“Your man is so amazing to get you to go to the hospital. Girl, hold on to him! He’s a keeper,” one of Amanda’s followers replied in the comments.
