Anna Johnston Answered Fans’ Questions About The Family Pets
7 Little Johnstons is a TLC series that made its debut in early 2015. The show revolves around the titular family of seven, who all live with dwarfism.
As fans of the show know, Anna is the eldest daughter of Amber and Trent Johnston, who had been adopted from Russia at a young age. In recent seasons of the show, Anna has been estranged from her family. This feud has also reportedly impacted her appearing on the show’s 17th season.
Recently, Anna has discussed her relationship with Amber during her TikTok Lives. During the share, Anna called Amber out for her behavior, such as accusing her mother of criticizing her to make her feel superior.
As Anna alleged, “You’re literally competing with your child. She always would! Like, [my] weight, [she would] put me down for how much I weighed and what I looked like, and even my hair and stuff like that. Yeah, always.” She noted, “We still don’t get along,” adding that she doesn’t speak to her siblings as well.
During a Wednesday Live, Anna was also asked about the family’s pets, many of whom have appeared on the family’s show as well as their social media. As noted by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, this question sparked discussion about the family’s alleged habit of giving away pets, especially their aging dogs.
Anna Reminded Fans That The Family Had Goats, Chickens, & Dogs
Anna admitted that she had to “beg” to get their dog, Cruiser, to live with her instead of her family. As Anna noted, “ I knew Cruiser would be given away, like they always do.” She also claimed that her dog Jessie was given away when he was roughly 10 years old. She continued, “Yes, they got rid of Jessie at an old age. Oh, it was so sad… He died when they gave him away.”
“[My sister] Elizabeth got rid of her dogs, too. They always get rid of dogs. It makes me so sad because, don’t get dogs if… It’s for the show, or you can’t take the time to take care of them.”
Anna also claimed that this habit doesn’t just apply to the family’s dogs. As the outlet noted, Anna shared that the family also got “chickens and goats” for their series.
“So, what they do with that setup is that they drop off the goats at our house, acting like we are keeping them. And then when we’re done filming with the goats scene, then they pick them up and –boom!– they’re gone. We got rid of the chickens because we got chickens and they realized that we can’t keep up with them. It is just for the show.”
