Mama June Shares Her Hysterectomy Surgery, How No-Uterus Affects Her
In the Season 8 preview of Mama June: From Not to Hot, June shared a health update. She revealed that a few months ago, doctors found cysts on her ovaries, which led to an emergency hysterectomy. June tried to keep things light by joking, “Bye-bye uterus and hello menopause.” However, she has been dealing with hot flashes, as evidenced by her applying a cold compress on her “undercarriage.”
Since a hysterectomy removes the uterus and sometimes the ovaries, June was pushed into menopause suddenly. June is struggling with strong hot flashes. She relied on fans and ice packs and commented that they were working overtime to make her comfortable. June laughed about her fan and ice maker working nonstop. This also showed how menopause can affect the body.
June also hinted at other menopause symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, and brain fog. She talked about juggling medical bills and follow-up visits while trying to understand confusing test results. At times, she needed help breaking it all down, and she called Alana to dumb it down for her. However, this time she was busy and wasn’t much of a help.
Mama June then diverted the conversation to a wedding invitation from Jess and Chayenna. Later in the clip, Pumpkin introduced her new boyfriend. Last season, she and Josh got divorced, and this season will be about them navigating co-parenting duties. For more Mama June: Family Crisis updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
