The family’s reality TV journey began with TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras, which ultimately paved the way for Honey Boo Boo and Family Crisis. Now that they are in the limelight again with the renewal of From Not To Hot, Alana is back to draw a line with her mom and sisters.
Alana has freed herself from most drama her family has caused her in the past. She lives miles away from them in Denver, Colorado. She has certainly built a new life from scratch with her boyfriend, Dralin. The couple has reportedly settled into a rented house that they share with some friends. Alana recently took to Facebook to laugh at the nasty comments the audience made about her weight after watching her latest interviews. She was in New York with Mama June, her sisters, and beau, Dralin, to give interviews about the upcoming season of From Not To Hot. Instead of receiving love, she read criticism about gaining weight.
Alana was called big and other names just because she looked extra fatty. So, she took the criticism lightly and did not take it to heart. In her Facebook post, she mouthed an audio where a person is body shamed for being fat, but they gladly joked about it. This is what Honey Boo Boo also tried to do to trigger her haters. She is no longer anxious about what people might say about her weight.
Mama June: Alana Talks About Family Tension Fueled By Drama!
Alana appeared on Entertainment Tonight with Mama June and her sisters, Pumpkin and Jessica, alongside Dralin, Justin, and Darrin. The host asked her what her take is on family tension and drama right now. She honestly shed light on how staying away from the family house helped her restore her mental health.
Alana said that since the time she moved to Colorado, she hadn’t been affected much. However, the tiniest impact she feels on her life is through June and Justin. June stopped her daughter in the middle of her statement to add that the situation becomes heated every two months. Alana takes her daily or monthly dose of family tension from Pumpkin.
Whenever Alana hears about the disorder back in Georgia from Pumpkin, she doesn’t usually worry about it because she doesn’t have to. Unnecessarily, she doesn’t want to die with a headache. The WeTV star stated, “In a way, it’s good to get away from them for a while.” She keeps visiting them, and they also do it, which turns out nice.
Alana is having peaceful days now that she has plenty of time to focus on her studies and nursing school. Also, she is focussed on herself, taking good care of herself in multiple ways, away from turmoil. June is very proud of her youngest daughter, who has grown up to be responsible, as she pays her own bills, takes Pilates classes, and will complete nursing school in three years.
