Why ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Star Savannah Chrisley’s The View Sparked Controversy?

Savannah Chrisley’s appearance on The View already created buzz even before she walked onto the stage. The reality star joined the popular daytime talk show as a temporary guest cohost while regular panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin stepped away for maternity leave. Savannah sat at the famous roundtable from February 17 to February 20, stepping in as part of a rotating lineup of guest hosts filling in during Griffin’s absence.

Online viewers also shared mixed reactions to her appearance. Savannah is well-known for openly supporting President Donald Trump and often has strong conservative opinions. Fans expected a heated discussion during her guest hosting because The View panel typically consisted of panelists with completely opposing political viewpoints. Many people even expected major clashes before the premiere of her first episode.

Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Explains Why He Felt ‘Very Hesitant’ About Savannah Joining The View Panel

Chrisley Knows Best star Todd made the surprising confession during the March 4 episode of the Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast while chatting with his wife Julie Chrisley. While praising Savannah, he proudly said that his daughter looked “so pretty” on the show. Still, he admitted he initially struggled with the idea of her appearing there. According to Todd, the word “hesitant” might not even fully capture how he felt at first. Julie quickly jumped in and clarified his real concern, bluntly telling listeners that Todd simply “didn’t want her to” go on the show.

Despite his worries, Todd made it clear that his hesitation had nothing to do with Whoopi Goldberg. In fact, he praised the longtime host and insisted she has always been kind and supportive toward their family. However, Todd admitted he didn’t really know the other cohosts, including Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, or Ana Navarro. After watching the episode, he shared his first impressions and even pointed out that Sara seemed genuinely sweet on screen.

Still, Todd couldn’t help but wonder if the hosts might try to corner Savannah during the discussion. In a dramatic moment, he joked that he didn’t know if they were trying to lead his daughter “like a little lamb to slaughter.” But Todd quickly added that Savannah is more than capable of defending herself. According to him, his daughter is just as good at “slaughtering” when she needs to.

Julie also weighed in on the situation and called the whole experience a positive one for Savannah. She believes being surrounded by people with completely different views can help someone grow. Todd, however, didn’t fully agree. He explained that it can be difficult to learn anything when people in the room refuse to listen to your side of the story.

Savannah later shared her own take on the experience. She admitted she initially expected Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to be difficult to deal with. But surprisingly, she revealed that she and Joy actually had fun together behind the scenes. Keep coming back to TV Season & Spoilers for more updates.
