Pumpkin from the Mama June series decided not to attend her sister Jessica’s wedding ceremony because she chose Josh as her officiant. Jessica offered his former brother-in-law, Josh, the honorable role, and he said yes to it. He knew that Jessica would ask him, so he made up his mind beforehand. This offended Pumpkin because her ex would marry both her and Shyann.
Josh and Pumpkin often fight over their children after the tumultuous separation. Although they agreed to share 50/50 responsibility for their four kids, his lack of communication is still an issue for Pumpkin. Jessica and Shyann’s bridal shower took a weird turn when Josh entered the venue. He approached Jessica to congratulate her, handing her an envelope. Mama June and Pumpkin both turned quiet while looking at him. When the pre-wedding chaos was taking over the party, Josh’s arrival changed the atmosphere. Silence prevailed, and he said he won’t stay.
Josh looked around him as Pumpkin and June did nothing. Jessica thanked him, and he advised her to stay away from June with Shyann. In the TLC confessional, he stated that he only attended the bridal shower because he wanted to see Jessica and Shyann happy. His marital advice to the couple came from his good intentions, as he knows how unhealthy June was to his marriage to Pumpkin.
Mama June: Pumpkin Decides To Opt Out Of Jessica’s Wedding For Her Choosing Josh As Wedding Officiant!
On a new episode of Mama June: From Not To Hot, Pumpkin confided in her boyfriend Darrin about her mixed feelings about attending Jessica’s wedding. She complained that she wasn’t previously informed that Jessica wanted her to be a bridesmaid. With Josh officiating Jessica’s marriage to Shyann, Pumpkin is losing her mind over the situation.
Pumpkin said she is super uncomfortable with the ongoing wedding planning. She doesn’t want to take part in anything Alana or Jessica would push her to do. Pumpkin strongly felt that Jessica had chosen a side after her divorce from Josh. Recently, she found out that Josh is her sister’s favorite, which made her insane.
Pumpkin claimed that despite June knowing everything, she asked her to help Jessie out. But Pumpkin decided to stay away from anything that had Josh in it. Calling Jessica “diabolical,” she insisted her sister tried to play out their separation for her own advantage. Darrin understood where Pumpkin’s emotions are coming from.
Yet Darrin urged Pumpkin not to skip her own sister’s big day, as she might later regret making the drastic move. She said Josh would take their kids to the wedding, and she would be off the hook.
