Mama June Slips Up, Reveals Truth About Josh’s Fake Storyline?

Did Mama June Shannon slip up and reveal the truth about Josh Efird’s fake Family Crisis storyline? Viewers have noticed some discrepancies with the recent episodes and have called the family out. So, what bomb did June drop, and how are followers reacting? Keep reading for more details.
Josh’s Storyline All Staged?
Mama June: Family Crisis fans have watched Season 7 and the end of Pumpkin and Josh Efird’s six-year marriage. There were allegations that she had been seeing his cousin, Darrin Kitchens, months before the divorce was filed. Eagle-eyed viewers have even spotted Darrin in the background of scenes before he was even mentioned on the series. A lot of this season feels disjointed and somewhat staged. One moment that has been called out is Josh’s recent car accident. When it initially happened, Pumpkin claimed she was called because she was still his emergency contact. Yet, it was his mother who phoned Pumpkin, and she rushed over.

Viewers have wondered who was watching the former couple’s other three children as Josh had just dropped off Ella. There were also other inconsistencies, and fans have been quick to point them out. Now, June has allegedly opened her mouth via a livestream, and it looks like everyone was right about the series being fake. She was discussing Josh’s accident and claimed that his new girlfriend was watching the children. Moreover, he had brought Pumpkin flowers to the home a few days after. Her sister, Jessica, broke the news that she was seeing his cousin.
This was not real news to Josh as Mama June, Pumpkin, and Darrin had dashed off to Las Vegas in August 2024. However, Josh’s accident did not occur until September 2024, so he likely knew what was going on. To sum it up, Josh faked bringing Pumpkin flowers as he had already moved on with a new love. Then, he did not need Jessica to tell him about his ex and his cousin when it had become public knowledge.
Is Anyone Surprised June Slipped?
As authentic as Mama June has tried to claim Family Crisis is, she has also made it clear she never liked Josh Efird. She did not think he and Pumpkin Efird should have gotten married and blames him for the demise of their mother-daughter relationship. So, she may have been trying to throw Josh under the bus, but actually made the show look worse. Were fans surprised by June’s revelation, or were they waiting for it?
- I don’t feel like they ever did a good job with the fakeness. The first season when June was going from not to hot, she had clearly already lost some weight which they tried very unconvincingly to cover up with prosthetics & makeup & by digitally overlaying inflated numbers over her scale.
One follower also told everyone who wants the truth about the series to follow the cast’s social media. That will give a clear and concise timeline so no one is left out of the loop.
