‘Landman’ Season 2 Filming Leaks: Details Revealed! (April Update)
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” will close streets in downtown Fort Worth next week.
The production will be filming interior scenes at 777 Taylor St. on April 8, according to Downtown Fort Worth Inc. The downtown building houses the Fort Worth Club, Inwood National Bank and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
Several road and lane closures will be in effect during filming, including Taylor Street between Sixth and Seventh Street. Left lanes will be closed on Sixth Street between Taylor and Throckmorton streets, and Seventh Street between Lamar and Taylor streets. Fort Worth police will be on-site to direct traffic, and downtown businesses will remain open during filming.
‘Landman’ season 2 filming in Fort Worth Production on “Landman” season 2 kicked off last week, with scenes filmed at TCU. A handful of locations across the campus were used for filming, including Sadler Mall, the Mary Wright Admission Center and the front of Milton Daniel Hall.
As for what was filmed at TCU, there’s a few social media videos showing Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) and Angela (Ali Larter) walking around campus.
In “Landman” season 1, Ainsley is a high school senior at Aledo and spends her spring break in Midland, where she reconnects with her father Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton). She later transfers to a Midland high school. During the season, Ainsley mentions wanting to attend Texas Tech and study philanthropy. This is the second time “Landman” has filmed at TCU. The first time came in season 1 at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex.
In addition to TCU, “Landman” crews have been seen out at the Patch Cafe set in west Fort Worth. The restaurant set is seen numerous times throughout the first season as a hangout for oil workers coming and going. The actual location of the set is at 9840 Camp Bowie West Blvd. “Landman” is also slated to film at Bowie House and the Crescent Hotel, according to city filings.
Casting Call for Landman Season 2
The filming of Season 2 of the Paramount hit show “Landman” is underway, and North Texans have a chance to be extras in the show.
Legacy Casting has posted several open calls on MyCastingFile, a website used to cast extras and background actors.
The scenes are being filmed in various locations, including Fort Worth, Benbrook, Weatherford, Cresson and Irving.
Men with dirty trucks
Thirty “roughneck” men with trucks, in any color except red, are needed for a night shoot in Cresson on Friday, April 4. Instructions say if you are booked with your vehicle, “do not wash it.” The scene portrays men on their way to work in the patch, and the roads are dusty/dirty, so dirty trucks are a plus.
Senior citizens
A second listing seeks senior citizens who are available to be regulars at Western Skies Retirement Home. You may remember when Angela and Ainsley volunteered at the nursing home in Season 1. The scenes are shot at Hilltop Park Rehabilitation and Care Center, a nursing home in Weatherford.
There are separate calls for administrator and attendant extras as well.
Truck stop patrons and paramedics
If you don’t own a truck, there’s still an opportunity for you. On Wednesday, April 2, extras are needed to work as “truck stop patrons” with their vehicles, but no red or white cars will be accepted. This shoot will take place in Weatherford.
If you are a paramedic, extras are needed for a scene in which you will look like you are administering first aid to one of the ‘Landman’ characters. You must have first-response experience to be considered for this role.
All of the extra roles are paid roles. To be considered, you must create a profile on the mycastingfile website.
So, who knows? You or one of your friends could soon be seen on the big screen.
Season 2 of “Landman” does not have a specific release date yet.
