‘Landman’ Season 2 Will Return Sooner Than You Think

Get ready to saddle up again — Paramount has officially announced that Landman Season 2 will premiere in November 2025, right on schedule with the show’s first season. The news came directly from Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global, during the company’s Q1 2025 earnings call, where he laid out premiere plans for several of Taylor Sheridan’s buzziest titles.

Season 1 of Landman, which starred Billy Bob Thornton as crisis manager Tommy Norris and Ali Larter as his demented wife Angela, premiered in mid-November 2024 and ran weekly through January 2025. Season 2 looks set to follow that same release pattern. While Jon Hamm won’t be returning (for reasons clear to anyone who saw the finale), Sam Elliott is joining the cast — a fitting addition for a gritty West Texas oil drama rooted in power, money, and consequence. And quite a bit of mumbling and grunting too.

But that wasn’t the only announcement. Tulsa King Season 3 (starring Sylvester Stallone) will return in September 2025, while Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 (led by Jeremy Renner) follows in October 2025 setting up the last quarter of the year as Sheridan’s time to dominate our screens.

What Can We Expect From ‘Landman’ Season 2?

Larter, one of the standouts from Season 1, recently told TVLine what fans could expect from Angela as we go further into the story from the mind of Sheridan.

“She’s complex, she’s an emotional tornado,” Larter said. “And when she’s introduced on a show, you don’t really know where it’s going. Because [series creator] Taylor Sheridan has this magical way of bringing something in and then catching you. And then you really watch her break.” Towards the end of Season 1, we saw Angela attempt to get back together — on her terms — with Tommy.

In return for her troubles, she got a seriously emotional response, culminating in one of the season’s most gut-punching exchanges. Tommy essentially tells her: Do whatever you want. Just don’t expect that I’m going to show you any appreciation for it. But of course, things worked out.

She’s the reverse-engineer of a trophy wife. She’s going back to her roots and the man that she loves — and still she likes to be sexy and she likes a good meal, you know?”

Landman Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+. Season 2 is currently in production, and will hit our screens in November 2025.
