Anna’s Widower Details Relationship With Stepdaughters
Mama June fans may recall that her eldest daughter, Anna Cardwell, had her first child, Kaitlyn, when she was a teenager. She then married Michael Cardwell, and they welcomed another child, Kylee. Unfortunately, the marriage was short-lived, and she moved on with Eldridge Toney. They were silly and goofy, and had a great time together. Right after she was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in early 2023, Anna and Eldridge got married. Anna wanted him to have custody of Kaitlyn, but she passed before the paperwork could be filed. Kylee went to live with her father, Michael, while Kaitlyn ended up with June.
The sisters have not been able to see each other much, with Kylee living in Alabama and Kaitlyn in Georgia. So, where does that leave Eldridge with his stepdaughters and big reminders of Anna? It seems that he is still very active in their lives, as he shared how June and company fill him in on Kaitlyn’s daily activities. They let him know how she is faring in school and if she is behaving. As for Kylee, being around her is harder given the distance, but he is always free to call and speak to her.
Eldridge is immensely proud of Anna’s girls and states that they are a deep reflection of his late wife. Mama June fans loved knowing that Eldridge can still see and chat with Kaitlyn and Kylee. They have been through enough and should have as much love around them as possible. More so, followers shared that they liked the girls having some semblance of stability.
This Is A Great Thing
Mama June fans have watched Anna Cardwell’s struggle and then the custody battle for Kaitlyn. Michael Cardwell wanted to keep the girls together and felt he should be the one responsible for Kaitlyn. However, June was not letting that happen, and she was granted full custody, which appeared to thrill her granddaughter. Despite losing some people in her life, Kaitlyn has Eldridge Toney in her corner, and followers could not be happier:

Although Eldrige loved the girls as his own, it was unclear if he could be the father that they needed. At least he is with them in some capacity.
