The reason is that over the two and a half years their parents were incarcerated, he did not help her at all. Savannah had to take on a lot, and some help from her older brother would have been greatly appreciated. However, he did not show up, and this took a major toll on their relationship.

“I haven’t spoken to Chase in … I can’t tell you when. I feel that I had so much pressure on me. I think it was just being in the circumstances that I was in and had all these people in close proximity but I never felt so alone.”
