Why Isn’t A New Episode Of Mama June On Tonight?
Mama June: Family Crisis has been on for eight episodes in Season 7, and it has been explosive. Josh and Pumpkin Efird decided to end their marriage, which was a shock to the family. June never liked him, so she was very happy that Pumpkin opted for a divorce. She shared that she felt Josh helped to alienate Pumpkin from her, which was not necessarily true. June also had to go to court regarding the custody of Anna Cardwell’s daughter, Kaitlyn. Anna’s ex-husband wanted custody of her, as well, but June would not let that happen.
Mama June won custody, and she has been doing her best to take care of Kaitlyn. Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson has been doing the best she can in college. However, her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, has his own legal issues that have been daunting. He was offered five years’ probation or one year behind bars, and he was not happy with either choice. Sadly, Pumpkin revealed that she was dating Josh’s cousin, Darrin Kitchens. That shocked everyone, especially Josh, who allegedly was not giving up hope.
Finally, Jessica Shannon shocked everyone by proposing to her girlfriend, Shyann McCant, much to Mama June’s dismay. June planned a bachelorette party, but it did not go well, and everyone left angry while she headed to the ER. The episode ended with title cards and what had happened to everyone, which made fans believe this was the series finale. In fact, it was just the season finale, and June confirmed that they are not going anywhere. She stated that she will decide when the series is over, but what is airing in its place?
A New Night Of Drama
Since Mama June is on hiatus, what will take its place on Friday nights? Life After Lockup is back for another season, and it looks even more exciting and dramatic than ever. Of course, fans feel that Family Crisis was too short and the season should have been longer. They also questioned if the series was coming back:

Furthermore, viewers felt that Pumpkin Efird had turned into her mother, and no longer liked her as they did in the past. Hopefully, Season 7 will continue sooner rather than later because eight episodes were not enough.
