Counting On alum Josh Duggar is getting a lot of attention following a new email screenshot featuring his message to his mother, Michelle. Josh’s arrest in 2021 rocked everyone in the Duggar family. He was charged with CSAM and is now serving his 12.5-year sentence. Since then, numerous people and even family members have surfaced, blaming Jim Bob and Michelle for their poor parenting. Many also believe that IBLP’s teachings played a significant role in Josh’s twisted mind. Counting On: Josh Duggar Wants His Mother To Stay Silent
New reports from Radar recently surfaced featuring Josh’s email to his mother just before his sentencing in 2022. It features Josh expressing his love and gratitude for his mother. Some of the statements show the Counting On alum telling Michelle how much he loves her. According to Josh, he wished they were having that conversation in a different circumstance. He was also thankful for all the support Michelle gave to his kids and his wife, Anna. Josh went on to beg Michelle not to hang up on video calls, as he was trying to address something important.

However, things got a little intense when Josh suddenly said, “I feel like you just don’t receive criticism or take admission for your own actions THAT HAVE DIRECTLY AFFECTED MY LIFE,” implying that he blames his mother for enabling him. Another part of the email then shows Josh being upset that he’s the top story on 5NEWS, and he hopes Michelle will stop making statements and just remain silent. “WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP TALKIN ABOUT ME? IT’S BAD ENOUGH WITH THE WORLD, WORSE WITH MY OWN FAMILY. please think and pray. pray and think! i am praying for you!” he added.

Jim Bob Gets Called Out As Well
Aside from Michelle, Jim Bob also got some words from his son a few weeks later. According to Josh, he put too much faith in his father’s counsel, but Jim Bob ended up backstabbing him. The Counting On alum added that his father will never take the blame for all the mess that happened, just like his mother. “He won’t simply humble himself and see his role in all this. The controlling and the manipulating. I could have just stood up to it and I should have,” he said.

Josh also left warnings to his siblings following his arrest due to their lack of effort in contacting him. “Who’s to say you won’t be next? How would you want to be treated?” he stated, hinting that someone will face the same charges in the future. After four years, Joseph was arrested for child molestation charges. The incident allegedly occurred during a family vacation in 2020 and may be the warning Josh was referring to. Joseph was arrested on March 18, 2026, and was released on a $600,000 bail on March 31, 2026.
